So coherent, without a hint of sound. Where is the truth they shall not see, deemed by Gods to be revealed to me? All the world that was known to me has drifted away. My kin void of faith. Abode did decay. Possessions, idolatry burned. Hollow physical world perceived through the haze. You led me astray. Fingers that toiled, callous and bleed, carve a crow’s flight path through mountain and growth. Long have I learned not to recognise cold. My extremes wither, die, and are lost. O perfect guide, you paved to show the void, that I might know Beauty. You reveal nothing. Cruelty, betrayal, madness. Why do they stare? What is the cloud in my eyes? What is the sense in the trees? As partitions burn and the fog clears, I can see myself staring back at me. As the years did leave their mark, depression paralyses. Weakling. Malingerer. Where did I go? Where will I be?

Deheubarth Wales, UK

Deheubarth formed after the 2013 Live Evil festival, marking the end of Ghast. Started by Myrggh during the Welsh winter of 2013/14, the project released the Darkwinter Possession demo in 2015. Their sound blends anxiety-ridden black metal and melancholic doom, reflecting themes of rumination and personal hell. Now with a full lineup Deheubarth is set to release a new album in November 2024. ... more
